This neck exercise uses the sternocleidomastoids, but it targets one side at a time.

While sitting in a chair, begin by looking straight ahead. Place your hand slightly above your ear while applying slight resistance. Move your head as to touch your ear to the shoulder without moving your upper torso. Return to the starting point and repeat.

It's important to keep your head straight ahead and go slow.
