When performing the decline push up on a Swiss Ball you place both feet on top of a Swiss Ball and perform a declined push up. The instability of the Swiss ball makes the exercise more difficult by making your core work harder to stabilize your body.
To performe the decline push up on a Swiss ball:
- Start off with both feet on top of a Swiss ball.
- Your hands should on the ground slightly wider than your shoulders and inline with with your chest.
- Your arms should be straight to start.
- Your feet should be close together with straight legs.
- Squeeze your glutes and abs to keep your legs and back in a straight line.
- Your head should be inline with your body and it should stay in this position during the decline push up.
- Lower your body as far as you can while keeping your body inline and pause before pushing yourself back up to the starting position.
- Remember to keep your core tight during the pushup to help stabilize yourself on the Swiss ball.
