5 Good Cardio Exercises that Don't Require Expensive Equipment

Some of my favorite Cardio Exercised that don't require expensive equipment are:
1. Plyometric Training. Often called Plyo is basically using your own bodyweight for training. These exercises don't require equipment at all. A Plyo workout consists of exercises like squats, pushups, lunges, jump-n-jacks, the plank, mountain climbers, and bear crawls. Spending 30 minutes doing an interval plyo workout will not only get the heart rate up, but you will build muscle, burn fat, and improve balance and coordination.
2. Walking. Take a brisk walk. Walking can burn up to 200 calories in 30 minutes if you add in hills or an incline. Start up a walking club at work and spend 30 minutes with the friends walking and talking. Find a setting and group of people where you can enjoy your walk while burning calories. Step up the pace a bit to burn more calories.
3. Running (jogging or sprints). All that is required for a good run is a pair of running shoes. Runners can burn serious calories and is a great cardio exercise. The average person can burn 300 plus calories in a 30 minute run. Mix in some sprints to increase the amount of calories burned.
4. Climbing Stairs. Climbing stairs is another great cardio exercise. Whether it's at your local high school stadium or the stairs at the office find stairs and walk up and down them for 30 minutes. If you're able to jog up and down the stairs you will burn even more calories. Your legs will get a great strength workout as well.
5. Jumping Rope. Just like you did in elementary school. Grab a jump rope and go to town. This simple, yet effective exercise (jumping rope) is a great way to burn calories. Jumping rope will give you a total body workout while improving cardiovascular endurance, coordination, agility, as well as hand and foot speed.
